There is no Overseas Lottery International, YAHOO %26amp; MSN Lotteries, Yahoo online dept., UK (United Kingdom) Lottery, Netherlands Lottery, British Lottery, Thunderball Online Lottery in the UK, Australian Lottery, Spanish Lottery, Yahoo Lottery Microsoft Lottery (emmulating from the UK or anywhere else) or any other form of lottery you can win without buying a ticket. While some people might only copy and paste such email to their answer with a brief take on it, I will go into detail because I'm tired of this trash, as several of my friends have lost their a$$es to this scam. This is about as far away from legitimate as anything can get, whether it be a contest, promotion, or whatever.
There exists a certain form of immoral degenerate that trolls the internet searching for suckers who believe that they have gotten very lucky and won a lottery which they have never entered. They will probably entice you to send an advance fee to claim your non-existant winnings and if you do send this money, you can kiss it goodbye. The money will likely be en-route to Nigeria, a cesspool of fraud that has been the center of these types of fraud over the last few decades.
The best thing to do is to delete such emails immediately and to never reply to them. If you even reply, you risk having your email inbox flooded. If you call these people, expect to be harrassed over the phone at all hours of the night! In some cases, people who travel to claim their winnings in Nigeria are taken hostage, and in worse-case scenarios are killed when whoever is paying ransom payments exhausts their money supply. If anything online sounds to good to be true it always is buddy.
By the way, I have kind of become an anti-scam activists due to the fact that I have many friends who have had their identities and life savings stolen from them via these methods.
This is simply advance fee fraud (a prevalent type of fraud which continously asks for money to cover unforseen expenses) and is intended to drain your bank account, promising money that simply does not exist. Hopefully, this answers your question.

If you have lost money you should report it to the U.S. Secret Service at www.secretservice.gov

Reply:Definitely scam. These people just want to part you from your hard earned cash and will try every trick in the book. They sometimes ask you to call a premium rate number then keep you waiting while you rack up a huge telephone bill, which they then make a huge profit on. Delete this scam and sent it into cyberspace where it belongs, along with the scammers who are sending it. These people of out and out thieves.

Reply:It's a scam, delete it and don't send them any information. I got the same type of email but from Yahoo! UK. I replied to it asking why I need to send them my full name and address, but got no reply. I even emailed the customer service department of Yahoo! Canada and got no reply.

Reply:I receive about10-15 such mails every day. I do not open it, just send it to junk or block sender. This is not problems faced by you and me , every one how are very active in Internet get such mails regularly. Even if you block, they appear in another format. Just ignore, do not open mails received from unknown source, more particularly do not open attachments.

Yahoo dsl pro isn't any faster than yahoo basic dsl.?
Yahoo dsl pro has done nothing to increase the speed of my dsl. I am extremly close to the dsl tower or what ever it's called which I heard speeds it up but it's not as fast as many of my friends whohave basic dsl. Yahoo dsl said it was'nt their fault it was soo slow and it must be the telephone wiring. We had all the wiring professionaly replace. and it still didn't go any faster. So they told us its probably our computer and we needed another computer for our home anyway so we bought a brand new one. Still our yahoo dsl pro was no faster and so we downgraded back to regular yahoo dsl. Has anyone else experienced this degree of problems with their yahoo dsl or know of any other ideas I can try to make it faster?

I am in the beginning stage of this battle as well. Four months ago, I upgraded from basic to pro, only to find that my download speed has not increased. Upload has increased approximately 15-20% to 410Kbps. I've contacted AT%26amp;T Yahoo, only to be given the script trouble-shooting answers such as, "Clear Cookies, Delete Files and History. Allow all Cookies, turn off Internet Security" and turn 360 degrees, reboot your machine, reload OS, and chant a Christmas Jingle. I have not quite gotten the rewire the house telephone lines or rework the plumbing request, but I'm sure that'll be the next one. They've refutted my theory that it could possibly be the three-year old SpeedStream 5360 DSL router that's causing the bottle-neck, since 3.0Gbps wasn't even a techie's wet-dream when the router was designed.... Sorry that I don't have an answer for ya' - just wanted to let you know that you're not alone on this one.

100% SCAM. Yahoo doesn't have lotteries or cash giveaways. If they did, you can be sure there would be a LOT of advertising for it all over their web sites. Just delete that email, and any others like it that you are likely to get. DON'T reply to it, and certainly DON'T click any links in it.

Reply:Spam alert there, Report it to Yahoo abuse. Spam emails commonly have mispellings. If you gave up the email addresses of your address book they are in for it too, so dont make the matter worse.

I used to post links to the debunking articles about this, but I've seen so many questions about this absurd "Yahoo Lottery" that I don't bother anymore. The people posting clearly can't be bothered to type two words into a search engine, or read the links Yahoo brings up when you try to submit a question about it.

14days ago I received a SMS saying my mobile phone No got lucky draw reward US$9500,ask me claim the price from yahoo249@yahoo.com ,I reply do not yahoo have such a programme. Two days later Digitat Notarization send by Verisign ask my personal detial but they say no bank and credit card account should submit. but today an attorneys send me an e-mail yahoo62@yahoo.com say they repesenting this cliam $9500, but did not clear mention who they repersent any fee and profersional charger.

Yahoo messed up my computer?
I downloaded yahoo a few days ago because my best friend uses it and we cant send files between windows messenger and yahoo. I liked it a lot till now.... we always use the voice conference and now since yesterday my computor has no volume until I open a voice conference with him. I thought maybe my comp was messing up cus it does it from time to time but usually a restart fixes things... but no Im stuck with this... I love to listen to music and i cant do it while on voice conference cus I cant hear my best friend talk... and yes I tried fixing both volumes but the conference turns up the music volume, and the music volume turns down the conference... something is screwy with yahoo... I mean the toolbar never goes away even when you uninstall it, I didnt have yahoo cus before I had to delete the whole yahoo folder to remove it... I dont know what to do about my volume and I even tried to stop most processes on my comp including yahoo but I cant get it back

I’ve tried to get answers from yahoo for over 80 days now. I pay them money every month and have done for over 4 years. All of a sudden yahoo wasn’t interested. I thought I had a contract with yahoo. What a way to do business, just not answer any emails and no phone. Apart from posting this, if someone from yahoo doesn’t help me. I’ll have to revert to sending a pidgeon. All jokes aside. 80 days and you say 24 hour response. I have lost lots of business referring clients of mine to use Yahoo. I’m making up kinds of excuses to my clients, for yahoo?. Every time I sign into Yahoo! Messenger, the Yahoo! Answers tab is always repeating the same old questions about cheese melting and stuff like that after about half a year(since the Yahoo! Messenger, my dates may be wrong but it was at least 5 Months and I would love to just sign on and see some interesting questions, also for Yahoo! developers or maintenance or something.. are you going to create a desktop program for Answer addicts, it would be a lot faster than a website, more secure, could have a better look, faster search, save favourites in a easy menu, save favourite categories, tell us when a category has a new question, or a question has a new answer(even someone else's) A lot of this stuff could notify the user by email, I would like to know when some other peoples questions have answers, but there is no option, only watching it and checking it yourself. It is surprising how many innocent victims have been duped by these types of emails. Just remember the thieves who send them are very clever and extremely convincing. I suggest you delete the email and send it into cyberspace, hopefully along with the thieving scumbags who send them.

Yahoo 360 doesn't connect with Yahoo Answers?
I have a Yahoo 360 acount, but when I go to edit my Yahoo Answer profile to provide a link to that 360 account, I get this message:
"360 nickname not found: Get my Yahoo! 360 account now!"

Can you believe I won an appeal with Yahoo! Answers?
Well, like most people, I was sure that my complaints to Yahoo! Answers censors had fallen upon deaf ears. But, much to my surprise and satisfaction, they responded today. Not only have they re-activated my account, they even said they were Sorry... Well I have to tip my hat... just this once...lol
Here is the response I got from them today:

I need your help! My friend found my boyfriend's Yahoo personals page and when I confronted him he told me it was back from before he was dating me (over 2 years ago) and he forgot about it. I'm not convinced cuz his profile pic was taken on a recent trip and when my friend saw his profile (which he took down before I could look at it) it said that his account had been active in the last week! He says that the reason he thinks the recent pic was on there was bcuz he downloads his photos into his Yahoo mail account and somehow the pic was downloaded to his yahoo personals page. Also, he thinks that his recent upgrade to Beta may have caused the problem. He gave me his email password so I could look 4 ones for Yahoo Personals and he wants to show me all his bank statements, too because I was told Yahoo Personals costs $25 a month. and there would be a monthly charge on his bank statements. He is a good person. Is there any way this could all be a technical coincidence? Please help

I suggest you delete the email and send it into cyberspace, hopefully along with the thieving scumbags who send them.

The most that you'll find on these Web sites is, in some cases, a "Beware of these scams" warning.
Getting something for nothing would be great, but these e-mails are scams. You will lose every time, so just delete the messages and move on. At least this way, you won't give away your hard-earned money to some low-life scammer.

For example, if a "yahoo" program is offered anywhere other than www.yahoo.com, do not trust it.
As far as that program goes, do not try to run it anymore. explorer.exe is the program that allows you to open up folders, view your desktop files, see your taskbar, and so forth. No program should be modifying it.

I am getting the following error after login on the yahoomail account.
I can easily login with my id n password into the yahoo messenger.
But in the browser after login while opening the new mails i get the following errors.

Each Server gets all updates by sometimes taking it off the air. ( Have you ever put an
operating system on a PC? Sort off like that but bigger.)
Then having to transfer each an every file back to all accounts.

Does Yahoo Customer care keep changing id's?
I had saved yahoo customer care address in my address book when I recd a reply from yahoo,but 2 days ago when I complaied yahoo regarding Airtel charging me Rs30/- for using free yahoo mail (that is what yahoo claims) other than a monthly rentals on Net on phone , the mail sent to yahoo comes back to me with a delivery failure notice after 48 hours , is it a technical problem or yahoo has fraudlently sent me back the mail to escape from replying my question ?

Why is my Yahoo Review showing on the My Yahoo! Page but not on my Yahoo!360 page?
My review was approved by Yahoo and showed up on my My Yahoo Page, but not on the Yahoo!360 Page. There was a suggestion not to use "yahoo user", but to use your Yahoo ID when making a review. I will try that next time. But if it showed up on my "My Yahoo" page, why isn't it showing up on my "Yahoo!360 Page"?

I have read several of the questions already posted about Yahoo being slow. I have been very frustrated the last several months while being on Yahoo and it isn't always my computer. My computer is new, my line is fast, and Yahoo stinks. It takes forever for pages to load, sometimes one page in Yahoo works and another one doesn't, I get endless messages about not being able to find the server and it isn't my connection. There is definitely something going on with Yahoo as a whole and from the other questions posted, it sounds like there's trouble with the Beta version too? When will we be happy Yahoo users again??

I can't access the yahoo home page, or help pages. I can access yahoo mail and yahoo answers. But all other yahoo pages come up as "timed out" or unavailable. All other sites come up just fine. I've cleared my cache and such to no avail. I am wondering if my ip address has been blocked by yahoo for some reason. If anyone can help me I'd be grateful. And does anyone know of a way to find out if my ip address has been blocked by yahoo? And if so, how can I get it unblocked?

ok so i did everything what yahoo told me to do if u cant log in to the messenger.i have yahoo bet 9.0.(new version)and i have been having alot of problems with it lately.say i change it to no proxies.sometimes it lets me in.but then other times it either stops responding.and i get a message from microsoft yahoo messenger needs to close.we are sorry for this inconvenience.
so i click send error report.it does it.then it will stop working and wont let me sign in at all.then i have to switch to no network detection.and it let me in yesterday.but now its not letting me in to neither. how can i fix this problem?how can i log in to yahoo w/ out changing my connection preferences.how do i log onto yahoo,without any cant connect to yahoo please try a little bit later?i know im putting my id's in right.i know im putting my password in right.i think its a glitch?i dont know tho.so can u please help me?oh by the way.the other options dont work at all.
