Why does Yahoo toolbar hijack my homepage and MSN Hotmail?

***REVISED****Yahoo toolbar keeps redirecting my MSN homepage AND my Windows Live hotmail inbox to a Yahoo page that says................

" Sorry, the page you requested was not found.

Please check the URL for proper spelling and capitalization. If you're having trouble locating a destination on Yahoo!, try visiting the Yahoo! home page or look through a list of Yahoo!'s online services. Also, you may find what you're looking for if you try searching below."

...............This ONLY happens when Yahoo toolbar is installed. When I remove Yahoo toolbar, Yahoo stops hijacking my homepage and mail. This does not happen every time, but roughly half the time. The rest of the time, when i click on internet explorer or the mail icon on MSN messenger, they go to the proper window. This has only been happening the past week. When I installed yahoo toolbar I DID uncheck the "make yahoo my homepage" box. Any ideas?

Why does Yahoo toolbar hijack my homepage and MSN Hotmail?
yahoo has a tendency to direct all people that go into there sites or download anything from their sites towards being linked forever to them..if this happens go to your usual site (isp) when you get the main page..press tools ..Internet options ..and on home page press use current ..then apply at the bottom ..this will bring your home page back where you want it..
Reply:it is not the tool bar it is a hijacker that has attached it'self to the tool bar.

goto http://www.superantispyware.com

download and update SUPERantispyware then run a quick scan to catch that hijacker.
Reply:I am the same person that asked the question but I am using my other Yahoo ID to give further info. First of all, thanks to the people that responded so quickly.

Additional information:

1) It IS the toolbar that is causing the hijacking

2) I have run several antispyware programs including super antispyware, pest patrol, AVg etc

3) In 'internet options' my homepage is already listed as msn. In fact, I use Spybot Search and Destroy to lock the homepage.

4) Internet explorer NEVER goes to Yahoo Homepage..it only goes to the Yahoo "page requested not found" page that I listed in the original question.

5) If I remove yt.dll in the Yahoo folder in my program file, the problem stops but the Yahoo toolbar also goes away. Really don't want to do that because I want to keep the Yahoo search window............the MSN aka Windows Live search function stinks.

I didn't have enough space to put all of this in the original question
