A poster (starssansdifficulty) on yahoo finance bank of america board (bac) posted that he has evidence that yahoo ids have been created by hackers who don't use yahoo to create them. He would not tell me how he knows that, but he says if there's no profile data for the id then the id had been created by hacking yahoo.
If it's true, then hackers can get access to personal info like address books, financial account numbers, and credit card numbers used thru yahoo's site. Yahoo would not be a secure site. Yahoo say they are secure and they deleted the post starssansdifficulty had posted about the hacker.
Does anyone know anything about this? Can anyone confirm that it's true?
