YAHOO is closing down?

Recently, i received an email as shown below. Is this a hoax ?

Dear YAHOO User,

Because of the sudden rush of people signing up to YAHOO, it has come to our attention that we are vastly running out of resources. So, within a month's time, anyone who does not receive this email with the exact subject heading, will be deleted off our server. Please forward this email so that we know you are still using this account.

We want to find out which users are actually using their YAHOO accounts. So if you are using your account, please pass this e-mail to every YAHOO user that you can and IF YOU DO NOT PASS this letter to anyone we will delete your account.

From Mr. ALLEN SMITH

YAHOO Admin. Dept.

Our YAHOO system is getting to crowded!! We need you to forward this to at least 20 people. I know this seems like a large number, but we need to find out who is really using their account. If you do not send t his to at least 10 YAHOO members, we will

YAHOO is closing down?
This is just a spoof message, it's not true.
Reply:I don't believe this.....They would not need for anyone to forward an email from them. I think this is a Hoax.
Reply:I didn't receive such notifications.
Reply:100% SCAM. Yahoo is the largest email service on the planet. And they are growing. Why would they close down? (By the way, the grammar in the email is not what would be expected from a professional organization like Yahoo. So that alone is enough to tell me it is a scam.)
Reply:Mmmmm,

I haven't received a letter like that before, but I should take action about this. There have been many reports about the increasing amounts of users, even as we speak. I can't trust you right now, but then again, this still needs to be considered.

The same thing is also happening right now in other foroum websties. The problem what the staff discovered is that one creates multiple accounts, and it is getting out of hand. Perhaps the staff is taking new ways or approaches to try and solve the problem.

I'll look at this question further, and I'll see if this is real, or just a glitch or something.
Reply:That is the dumbest thing ever. Yahoo!'s network in only second in the world to Google's. As if Yahoo! can't spend $120 for a 500GB drive for user account storage. Haha. People fall for the dumbest stuff.
