Why does Yahoo toolbar redirect my homepage?

Yahoo toolbar keeps redirecting my MSN homepage AND my Windows Live hotmail inbox to a Yahoo page that says................

" Sorry, the page you requested was not found.

Please check the URL for proper spelling and capitalization. If you're having trouble locating a destination on Yahoo!, try visiting the Yahoo! home page or look through a list of Yahoo!'s online services. Also, you may find what you're looking for if you try searching below.

...............This ONLY happens when Yahoo toolbar is installed. When I remove Yahoo toolbar, Yahoo stops hijacking my homepage and mail. Anyone know which file in the Yahoo program folder I can remove to stop the hijacking?

Why does Yahoo toolbar redirect my homepage?
I don't think you need to un-install anything.

In Internet Explorer just go to Tools, then Internet Options. Under the General tab you will see "Home Page".

Change this to what you want it to be.

Very similar for Firefox. Tools, Options, Main tab, Start-up...
Reply:You did not disable "make yahoo my default homepage" before completing installation of toolbar. Uninstall and reinstall the toolbar, making sure to remove the check mark for the default page.
Reply:Go to control panel/ internet options and then in the box type in the home page you want. then click Apply at the bottome of the box.

As others stated, you should pay close attention to whatis installed and unclick any unwanted changes to your CPU.
