Add yahoo account to microsoft outlook...won't work?

I have a yahoo verizon email account and a yahoo account. when I use the help menu to find out how to add my yahoo address to microsoft outlook it asks me to sign in first but it won't give me the option to sign in as Alexandra4JC@yahoo.com. It prefills the @verzon.net so when I sign in for info it only gives me the incoming/outgoing server address for verizon.net. I need the incoming/outgoing server address for yahoo. For some reason, once I switched to verizon yahoo I can't get it back to just yahoo so I can't get help from the yahoo menu. Only verizon yahoo.

As explained at http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/pop/p... you can not use Outlook Express, Thunderbird or any other third party e-mail clients with the free, web-based version of Yahoo! Mail if you have a @yahoo.com address.

If you need to be able to do this you will have to upgrade to the paid Yahoo! Mail Plus service, it offers the POP requirements necessary to use programs like Outlook Express and Thunderbird. It costs about $20 per year, you can enroll at the bottom of the following information page. http://mailplus.mail.yahoo.com/

If you already subscribe to a premium Yahoo! e-mail plan, check the following link to find POP settings http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/pop/i...

If you are in the UK and have an @yahoo.co.uk address you DO have free access to POP3 mail. Check the following Yahoo! help page to find the proper settings for your particular e-mail application. http://help.yahoo.com/help/uk/mail/pop/
