Does Yahoo Beta Lottery Incoperated give a year 2007 prize?

I got e-mail from YAHOO FIDUCIAL AGENT [kueng_fiducialagent01@yahoo.ca] with a text:

"Attn:Lucky Winner

This is to inform you that you have won a prize money of THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND US DOLLARS ($300,000.00) for the YEAR 2007 Lottery promotion which is organized by YAHOO LOTTERY INC for the introduction of the new YAHOO BETA MAIL which all YAHOO users are required to switch onto.

YAHOO %26amp; MICROSOFT WINDOWS collects all e-mail addresses of the people that are actively online, among the millions that subscribed to Yahoo and Hotmail... Your Payment falls within our African agent's Location file and your approval File will be processed and paid by our African Location Claim Agent Mr Williams Cyprain...

Later Mr Williams called me on my private phone and asked to transfer 810$ to Federal High Court to submit a Legal claims document known as a SWORN AFFIDAVITS OF FACTS AND CLAIMS.

I was wery confused. I would like to know how to contact Yahoo officials to inform about it

These Yahoo lottery emails are scams, ignore them.
Reply:Sigh... (-_-)

My self also received similar e-mails weeks ago. But interestingly, the Agent that I've been instructed to contact was named WILLIAMS MILLET and not WILLIAMS CYPRIAN. They never attempt to contact me by phone and we only being in touch by e-mails. I was notified that the prize money will be paid through Standard Chartered Bank of Nigeria. I was also instructed by another e-mail sent from %26lt;foreignremittance@standardcharttered.ne... to pay for some legal documents issued by so-called Federal High Court of Law before I can inherit the prize money. Very amusing, the payment that they ask from me was not $810 but $650. Because it was so dubious, I personally contact the Standard Chartered bank to confirm the transaction, but sadly, the bank officer failed to identify any payment or transaction awaiting me in any given time. They also assured me that the e-mail that I've received was not send by their bank or their any other representatives. I was strongly recommended to not take any action instructed by the e-mails.

After seeing your post, I can conclude that the e-mails we've received were definitely sent by scammers.

One thing to be pondered: If we are truly win such large sum of prize money, why they only use e-mail to notify us instead of using handwritten/typewritten formal letter?
