Does YAHOO do anything to prevent faud from yahoo e-mail accounts?

I've been contacted by the following yahoo e-mails:

claimsofficer19@yahoo.co.uk, agentwell_payoutdpt@yahoo.co.uk, agentwell_payoutdpt1@yahoo.co.uk, fivewayexpresxcourier@yahoo.co.uk

All of these are attempting fraud. They send you an email saying you won a lottery you've never bought a ticket for or never entered in internet. These people ask you for money (big bucks) to deliver your "Prize check" which varies in the amount (I received one email for a £ 125,000 and one for a £5,856,652 win for which i was supposed to pay between $550 and $1,500 for the so called courier delivery) How can you YAHOO protect US real yahoo customers? Thank you for the answer

I get those all the time, and they annoy me. Yahoo claims to have spam guard up to keep those type of e-mails from getting into your inbox, but they keep on coming. I mark them as spam, and they keep arriving, from the same e-mail addresses no less.
Reply:you list them as spam and if yahoo gets a certain # of complaits they get reported.
Reply:for one thing this a scam and do not touch it just spam it and delete it but you never open the emails. if you know that these are real emails then try and print them and give them to your local police,
Reply:I get them all the time. Just delete them. There is really nothing they can do cuz its just spam.
