Yahoo/Outlook recurring error alternative email not verified?

I keep getting the following message with my Yahoo accounts and also my partners. We both use Outlook Express and have done for years without issue. I have verified my email address repeatedly but after sending a couple of emails i get the same error all over again... Is this just some Yahoo! ploy to make us all log on and use their new Beta version? Personally I'd prefer not to! Or is this a glitch that is being sorted out (slowly!)?

your yahoo email address is now case sensitive. They must have tightened things up over an upgrade or something. The yahoo SMTP server checks your email address every time you try to send an email. So go into your email program's account settings and correct the email address. You can check your correct casing by logging into the yahoo website, it will show your username in the correct casing.

Reply:I have recently had this error. Seems that the cause for me, was the Mail Account Name that I chose was not good enough for Yahoo during the send/rec process. In Outlook, it needed to be exactly the same as the Yahoo email address in use. (This is the first box on the More Settings%26gt;General). Report It

Reply:I'm getting a similar problem with mine, but yours is a little different as it looks like you haven't changed the port number in the advanced options of the email account details in OE, Should be port 587 for SMTP and 110 for POP3.


Mine's weirder as its all set up right (inc verifing the address I want to be shown) and I get [Please Verify The Email Address Field], which is my yahoo address...
