Yahoo Spam Filter & Email Diversion?

My emails are hosted by another company. I have set up an automatic diversion so that emails to that address are diverted to my Yahoo address. I then have Outlook set up to collect emails from Yahoo. I subscribe to Yahoo Mail Plus.

I've had the system set up like this for about 4 months %26amp; Yahoo's spam filter has not detected one single piece of spam.

Spam filter is on. And I am receiving spam.

For example. Let's say my email address is mailmonster@plasticcup123.com. My domain (plasticcup123.com) is hosted by another company. I have told that company that any mail I receive should be auto-diverted to mailmonster@yahoo.com. Outlook then collects all mail waiting for me at mailmonster@yahoo.com.

I should perhaps add that, for example, emails from spam@annoyingspam.com to mailmonster@plasticcup123.com appear in my yahoo mailbox in exactly that way.

How do I get spam filter to work for me?

Yahoo Spam Filter %26amp; Email Diversion?
just a thought but have you set up the spam filter to delete the spam straight away or to store it for x number of days in the bulk mail folder?

maybe yahoo are forwarding every mail not just those in the in-box - check your yahoo settings (on-line) and make sure it is set to delete bulk mail straight away
Reply:Just a thought but if you have mail coming to yahoo, from another source it won't recognise it's spam cause you are using Yahoo as the secondary mail box. So, just to probably make it clearer...you have spam from BLOGGER.WORLDWIDE@SSPAMALOT.COM going into your "primary" mail box. That mailbox doesn't have spam detection as part of the set up.

When the mail comes in you tel it to send it to your Yahoo account. Yahoo accepts the mail coz you've told it to...hence it's not recognised as spam unless you tell it manually.

So, you have to highlight every bit of spam mail yourself so that when it gets diverted there it recognises the domain name in the future.

That make sense or have you already thought of that???
